Das Spiel: 1853 gehört in die Familie der 18xx-Spiele und handelt vom Eisenbahnbau im Indien des 19. Jahrhunderts. 3-6 Spieler verwenden ihr Startkapital, um Eisenbahngesellschaften an die Börse zu bringen und den Subkontinent mit Schienennetzen zu überziehen, die ihnen möglichst hohen Profit geben sollen. Zwei verschiedene Spurbreiten unterscheiden dieses Spiel von den meisten seiner “Geschwister” und eröffnen ganz neue Möglichkeiten.
