This game depicts the staunch Soviet defense of the city against the repeated assaults by West German Bundeswehr and U.S. Army forces.

In this seven-turn game, Soviet and NATO forces clash using infantry, special forces, mortars, snipers, ATGMs, air strikes and artillery barrages. The Soviets may hold the element of surprise but NATO has the firepower and determination to match them in their bid to retake Tannenbruck and its key river crossing. Will the Soviets hold on until reinforcements arrive, or will NATO have the fortitude to win the day?
