The Ironclads Expansion Kit is not a complete game. It is designed to be integrated with THE IRONCLADS game. The kit feaures ironclads of European navies, additional Union and Confederate vessels, forts, mines, spar torpedoes and much more. Advanced rules covering designated (aimed) gunfire combat, boarding melee. sharpshooters, various ammunition types, increased powder charges in guns, increased grape shot loads, as well as transportation, movement and combat of shore units (infantry. field artillery, and cavalry) are also included. Other unit counters include forts. supply depot, extensive entrenchments, fire rafts, grapple units, heavy booms, light hulks and galvanic (electrical) torpedoes. mortar schooners, super heavy lronclads and much, much more.
