Experience two pivotal battles of the Napoleonic era with the second volume of this epic tactical game series, Battles of Napoleon. Designed with a shared set of easy-to-learn rules and intuitive mechanics, the series faithfully recreates the challenges and strategies of Napoleon’s most famous engagements.

This system emphasizes the art of coordination and timing in a “cat-and-mouse” struggle of formations. Players must balance bold orders and careful management, facing constant pressure to make critical activation decisions that dictate the pace of battle.

An advanced chit-based activation mechanism ensures dynamic gameplay:

• Players decide which formation to activate when a chit is drawn.
• Formations can be activated multiple times per turn but lose effectiveness with each activation.

Strategic decision-making begins at the start of each turn, as players issue orders to their formations. Aggressive orders bring greater risks of fatigue and collapse, creating a thrilling balance between ambition and sustainability.

Two Battles, Two Stories

• Quatre Bras 1815: A meeting engagement where growing forces clashed over a vital crossroads.
• Wartenburg 1813: A desperate defense by Maréchal Bertrand’s outnumbered corps against a Coalition army crossing the Elbe.

Each battle offers unique challenges, from the uncoordinated river crossings and large Landwehr units at Wartenburg to Maréchal Ney’s hesitant maneuvers at Quatre Bras. Features such as the French Guard, rain, and fatigue mechanics provide authentic flavor and immersive gameplay.

The box also contains the free upgrade kit of Vol. 1 - EYLAU 1807.

Thanks to the successful funding on Gamefound and the unlocked stretch goals the components of the game are upgraded: the charts and tables are deluxe (printed on 2mm grey carton) and the game includes 3 customized cotton bags.
