From the Publisher:
The Anarchy is the name given to the civil war over the succession to the throne of Henry I Beauclerc, King of England and Duke of Normandy, from 1135 to 1154. This war opposed Stephen of Blois and the Empress Matilda, wife of Geoffrey Plantagenet. Numerous castle sieges took place during this period, so this was the perfect opportunity to update all the siege rules of the various games of the Cry Havoc System. The tactical game includes various siege engines including a new, bigger battering ram that is more realistic than the one that was included with Siege.
The unit scale is one man to one counter. Each man is generally represented by multiple counters or both sides of a single counter to portray healthy and wounded combatants as well as mounted and unmounted (including the horses) where applicable. Each counter has a nicely colored picture of each man with attack defense and movement values in addition to the name of the person depicted.
THE ANARCHY is an extension to Guiscard and Diex Aïe and needs the rules of one of these two games (available as a free download in the download section of this article) to be played.
