Pocket Battle: Mind the GIUK! - Cold War Combat in the GIUK Gap

This hypothetical game imagines in the spring of 1988 the Cold War gets hot in the North Atlantic. A fading Soviet Union and its Northern Fleet faces NATO forces at sea (elements of the US 2nd Fleet and UK´s Royal Navy).

With cosiderable domestic political unrest, the desperate Soviet government gambles and attempts to send a pack of "Boomer" nuclear missile armed Submarines through the GIUK Gap (the sea passages between Greenland, Iceland and the UK) and station them off the east coast of the USA in order to negotiate favorable political and economic concessions.
