Card play is the heart of this game. A player´s hand of cards represents his military capability in this total war simulation. Players seek to bankrupt their opponent´s hand while trying to avoid the same fate themselves. It´s this card palythat provides the the excitement in To The Last Man! despite the presence of a static front.

To The Last Man! also allows players to explore the many "What ifs?" of the Great War. What if France invades Belgium? What if the UK then remained neutral?
