Montgisard: Man-to-Man combat in the Crusader States in the times of Baldwin, the Leper King

MONTGISARD is the name of the battle won by Baldwin IV, the Leper King of Jerusalem in 1177 against the Egyptian army of Saladin. This game is an expansion for AGER SANGUINIS and introduces new knight Templar counters as well as famous characters like Reynald de Chatillon, Balian of Ibelin and the Leper King himself.

The Game is a man-to-man small scale combat game in the tradition of the classics like Cry Havoc and Siege from the 1980s.

The unit scale is one man to one counter. Each man is generally represented by multiple counters or both sides of a single counter to portray healthy and wounded combatants as well as mounted and unmounted (including the horses) where applicable. Each counter has a nicely colored picture of each man with attack defense and movement values in addition to the name of the person depicted.

The game also includes a double-map of the famous 'Krak des Chevaliers' in order to supersede the old Templars Castle extension.
