Small World - Fabeln & Legenden wurde von Laurent Verrier erfunden, dem Sonderpreisträger des Small World Ideenwettbewerbs im Herbst 2009. Der Autor des Originalspiels, Philippe Keyaerts, hat weitere Entwicklungsarbeit geleistet.
