Adventure Games

The focus here is on the story, be it the big campaign that captivates you like a TV series over several game-sessions (e.g. Shadows of Brimstone and Gloomhaven), or the movie-like adventure for one evening (e.g. Nemesis or Freelancers ). Through their strong and prominent themes, adventure games increase immersion in foreign worlds, whether horror, science fiction or fantasy. The players embody characters and often have to pass role-play-like tests, usually together against the game. Nevertheless, in one or another adventure game there could also be a traitor among you (e.g. Among Cultists) or a player might slip into the role of an overpowering opponent. (e.g. Hakko Onna ).The important thing is that at the end you will still remember the most exciting moments that happened to you on your adventure.
