Imperial Stars II Legacy is the first game in the epic space combat trilogy that will be printed by Pungo Games, and takes place in the same universe as upcoming Chris Taylor designed Pungo Games deluxified reprints of Astra Titanus: Starfleets vs. Planetbusters! and Forlorn: Hope.

This is a reprint and deluxification of the orginal game from 2014.  This includes the 1st and 2nd Expansions also designed by Chris Taylor (one of the original designers of the hit video game, FALLOUT) and Alan Emerich (designer of Expansion #2). 

Players compete head-to-head in this epic 4X game as two human empires in the far future engaged in exploration, colonization, and combat to take control of limited resources in order to score victory points.  Play on one of the 6 large hard mounted game maps included as you battle for control of space in under 2 hours!  Infinitely replayable as you explore, expand, and battle for control of the stars.

With the included Expansion #1, the wars between the imperiled human factions have received greater consideration with the addition of epic gameplay. Player options are now expanded into the realm of technological development (to make each civilization more distinctive), and development of Planetary Systems allows for some critical modification of the economic and military lay of the map.

With the enhanced narrative provided by the addition of Events each Galactic Cycle, social and political considerations are brought into play along with some old-fashioned surprises. 

Both sides have new Defense Satellite units, plus their own unique ships for both factions including those with Keel Guns, Torpedoes, and Phase Defense Arrays. New Planet markers add spice to the variety of discoveries, and a special Long Game scenario is also included for even more epic-ness!

The also included Expansion #2, expands the boundaries of gameplay between the warring human factions. Building on Expansion #1, there are new worlds to conquer with the addition of two new maps, each featuring coveted planetary systems (yielding double value). These balanced maps have proven very popular for their “narrative” they engender during gameplay.

New Event and Technology cards broaden the story scope of the game, particularly with the introduction of Allies to the mix of outcomes. The Thaeon Order and the Free Settlers are off-map rivals who might send forces – but only sufficient to nudge the balance of power in your conflict. A new “Event +6 Ops” marker for each side increases the frequency that Events occur, so there are a few more surprises in every game!

Player aid mats uncouple the Alpha and Beta Zone costs from the map, so that you can experiment with different Ops costs to retrieve ships from them, and each mat includes a cost summary in the Scrap Yard for easy reference.  All this adds more epic to your space epic, as it can only be told in Imperial Stars II.
